We seem to be making it an annual tradition that the Badgers play a March Madness game during the banquet. WRWA is wise and set up two projectors with the game on it so we wouldn't miss any of the action. It's so funny to have at least half the audience totally watching the game, and half the audience watching the raffle. They won a close game last year, and repeated it again this year. It's good luck to have the entire WRWA audience watching together! We definitely need to do it again next year.
The WRWA Annual Conference was a couple weeks ago and it was awesome, as usual. The conference had a fun sportsman's theme going on this year, and the hall was flooded with camo. Here's our contribution: We were happy to have Gwyn from ShinMaywa joined us again this year. We combined the two booths, and ere's what our booth ended up looking like: Up in front we had ducks galore. Really, this year we gave away more ducks than ever, and had a lot of new varieties. Sometimes it takes a lot of restraint for me to not want to keep them all as we're setting them up. Here's just a small sample: And isn't it neat how the ShinMaywa CNWX cutaway pump is painted to coordinate with the ducks? That's some nifty planning right there. On a more serious note though, it's always really great to be able to have the cutaway at the show. It really shows off the great construction and design of this pump. We never leave home without our MPE controls and components. All of these always get a good amount of attention, but the pump monitor relays (to the right below) are popular right now. If you have the Flygt MiniCas units, remember that we have an exact replacement for much less money. We were happy to be asked by WRWA to be part of the walk around class on SCADA that took place on Wednesday afternoon. It was a small group, but that almost made for better discussion. Josh went over the SCADA pyramid and how to get the most out of the SCADA experience. At our booth, we had a drawing for a Leatherman knife. We were happy to give it away to Scott from West Salem on Thursday. And then there was the banquet. The Sportsman's Raffle was run so well this year. It's really become such an efficient, impressive, and enjoyable machine. This year we gave away a $500 VISA gift card to William from Cleveland.
