Nothing kicks off the holidays in Wisconsin better than opening weekend of rifle season! It doesn't get any more authentic than the orange speckled woods and excitement in the crisp air. To all the hunters, good luck, stay safe, and stay warm!
Next Wednesday November 19th is World Toilet Day! This is a great day that brings awareness to the 2.5 billion people who lack sanitation facilities. As we work every single day with wastewater treatment plants and the advanced equipment that we use to run them here, it's easy to take for granted and forget how advanced it is. In other parts of the world, 1000 children died per day from diarrhoeal diseases due to poor sanitation in 2013, and 1 billion (15 % of the world population) still practice open defecation. Check out the World Toilet Organization for more information.
We've got a whole great week of tweets lined up to celebrate and to help bring awareness, and you should get in the fun too. Watch this very excellent, very funny 3-minute video to get in the spirit. Seriously, it's great. Watch it.
