This year we felt really lucky to be at the WRWA Outdoor Expo. It was a fantastic day! You might remember last year we were contemplating moving from our traditional spot over by the registration (that's been great to us over the years) to the new park area. After much contemplation, we decided to make the move, and got the best spot ever - nice and shaded, front and center, and so much closer to the food! We're going to be holding on to that spot for many years to come!
We got there bright and early to set up our booth and Chuck a Duck game challenge. Thankfully the 90+ degree weather from the day before had broken, and we couldn't have asked for better weather. The new park area really allowed for the conference to be spread out and didn't feel crowded, but still busy. We got to catch up with all our favorite customers and maybe a few of our future favorite customers too!
Best of all was to watch the Chuck a Duck competition. We had over 100 competitors, and chances at taking the trophy remained competitive throughout the day as first place steadily climbed from 50, to 100, to 160, to 190, to an impressive 270 points to win. Congratulations to Dennis Wartgow from Park Falls on taking home the trophy! As for our consolation prize raffle, according to Random.org, contestant number 62 wins the hat! That means Jeremy from Wyocena - I owe you a hat! Expect to see it soon. For all of those who got a zero, don't worry - you were in good company with just over twenty others. The game will definitely be back next year, so practice up chucking some ducks.
