WRWA is starting to amp up their planning for the 25th Annual Technical Conference that is just two short months away, and I'm excited to see what will inevitably be a great conference. If you can’t get a room downtown, definitely check out the new sister hotel to the conference, the Tundra Lodge. It seems like it will be a really nice alternative, and I heard there will be buses going between the conference center and Coaches Corner, or err the KI Center. The Sportsman's Raffle has already upped the ante by announcing there will be TWO grand prizes this year - one to celebrate the last 25 years and one to look forward to the next 25. I've already got it planned out - I think I will win both grand prizes, and take the Trip of a Lifetime and the KYMCO UXV 500. What would you choose? Check out the prizes and the details here.
While at the Management Conference, we had the Expo Planning Committee meeting. It was our first meeting since the 2012 Expo in August and we had a good discussion about what we can do to improve and keep the Expo fresh. We really think that this Expo adds unique opportunity for water and wastewater professionals in the state. We’ve got some new ideas kicking around for 2013, and if you have any ideas please let me know in the comment section below. I'd love to have a bunch of ideas to bring to the committee meeting next time.
