So this last week, Josh was in Japan learning all about ShinMaywa. Gwyn from ShinMaywa America (you may remember him from a lot of shows in our booth) and two other guys from North Carolina joined him. ShinMaywa went above and beyond in hosting them, with a great deal of thought put into the itinerary for the week.
We were really excited when ShinMaywa asked us earlier this year to send one of us over to Japan to learn more about the company and their other products. We've had a lot of success with the submersible pumps and have been very impressed over the last few years with how incredibly thought-driven the engineering and manufacturing process in making these pumps great. They also take our feedback seriously and really implement changes, which is really cool to see from such a big manufacturer. So this last week, Josh was in Japan learning all about ShinMaywa. ShinMaywa went above and beyond in hosting them, with a great deal of thought put into the itinerary for the week. Besides being a week filled with completely new cultural experiences, highlights included: touring the ShinMaywa fluid division factory and seeing potential new products to bring to the United States (see above), dinner with the executives at a very nice traditional Japanese restaurant (see below), and attending the Japanese wastewater exhibition (similar to the United State's WEFTEC exhibition). We're really thankful to ShinMaywa for providing this opportunity to continue to learn about them. They've been a great partner in providing excellent products to our customers, and we're looking forward to continuing this as we move forward.
