I was excited to spend the day in New Lisbon at the North Central Regional Operators meeting this last Wednesday.  The North Central Region is really spread out from the northern part of the state, all the way down to this central area.  New Lisbon is getting pretty close to the southern most tip, and it's always fun to be able to see a operators from a different area.

We were a small but mighty group! September has a lot going on, and getting this meeting in the week after one state conference and a couple weeks before the WWOA Annual Conference made it hard for some to get there.  But regardless, I think we all had a great day.

Unfortunately for the operators, they had to listen to me give my favorite SCADA presentation in the afternoon. Looking at SCADA from the very important base level instrumentation devices that are monitoring what's happening in the physical world all the way up to the software and remote monitoring is one of my favorite ways to think about systems, and I always enjoy talking about it.

What a great booth for the 2015 WWA Annual Conference, right?  I had a great time the last few days catching up with everyone here.  This year the conference was held at Kalahari in Lake Delton.  

The week started out with the golf outing (held at the Reedsburg Country Club) on Tuesday.  Now if you recall, basically all of Wisconsin had severe storms on Tuesday - everyone at the golf outing drove through heavy rain, thunder, and lightning to get there.  I thought FOR SURE I'd get to the course and that it would be cancelled because of the rain. Well, I got there and it wasn't raining at all in Reedsburg! In fact, we ended up getting some sun toward the end of the day. Who would have figured?  Anyway, I had a great time at the Young Professional's Closest to the Pin hole - it's my third year and always a great time.

Wednesday and Thursday were the show days.  Between catching up with familiar faces, meeting a few new ones, sitting in on a few classes as a room monitor and a room moderator, the YP committee meeting, and all of the fun things going on in the exhibit hall, the days went by really fast.  

Overall, this conference is a great one to attend.  WWA is a really cool organization because of all the volunteers that make it up.  With a lot of active committees, there's a place for everyone who wants to become more involved in the industry.  Thanks to everyone who made this conference great!
