Anyway, this year the day was dry and sunny with just enough wind to make it enjoyable. We heard from the organizers that attendance was up among both venders and attendees, which is encouraging for the future of this show. We had a great day, and made great contacts with a lot of our customers and those who we hope will become future customers. We're always happy when we leave the day with a bigger to do list, and yesterday delivered. With demonstrations mixed in with exhibitor time in the afternoon, the crowd kept moving around and we didn't experience an afternoon lull. Hats off to the great planning of the planning committee, because the thought and planning keeps going into this event is showing.
Before I started writing about this years Northwoods Collection Systems Seminar that Josh and I attended yesterday, I thought I would check out what I wrote last year. I laughed when I saw the title: "WWOA Operators and Vendors Flood Marshfield." One year ago, the southwest part of the state experienced flash flooding of 15 inches. What a difference a year makes; I'm sure the entire state would welcome that rain now.

While the hot weather and dry conditions may keep us busy worrying about our gardens, droughts offer an opportune time to refresh ourselves on water conservation. Water conservation is always important precisely because of times like these. By incorporating these small habits into our routines and into our community, we create sustainable way of life that gets us through the floods and the droughts. While there are a ton of good resources on water conservation, I thought I would share a few of my favorites that I found poking around the internet today. Most of them are simple to do, things I've never heard of or thought of, and easy to incorporate into daily life.
