After classes came lunch, and it was a great spread - it was so good it was actually quiet in the room full of salespeople when we sat down to eat, which is quite a feat! Afterwards, we had ample opportunity to speak with the operators, and we had some great conversations. At our booth, we gave away ducks, notepads, and pens as usual. We also now have 2011 NFL pocket football schedules that we were happy to hand out now that we all know the season will actually be happening! The day concluded with a door prize raffle, and we were happy to give away a $50 Bass Pro Shops gift card to Paul from Watertown. Also thanks to Flygt, for the safety green hat and large work gloves that Katie won - we will use them often to work on pumps! Overall, we would recommend the Northwoods Collection System Seminar for the operators in the northern part of the state, and thank those in Marshfield and WWOA for all their work in making it happen.
OK, so maybe it is an exaggeration to say that we flooded Marshfield for the Northwoods Collection System Seminar on Thursday July 28, particularly with the flash flooding our colleagues in the southwest part of the state were getting - 15 inches in one day! Thankfully, we were dry in Marshfield and were able to have a great day. The show was in a new location this year, at the Lions lodge in Marshfield. Our experience was that this was a positive change. The proximity of the seminar classes to the vendor displays couldn't be beat, and made it easy for vendors to pop over and sit in the classes as well. With all the turmoil going on with the state and regulations, I know that these classes are all the more valuable for all of us right now, as we just to try and keep up to date with all the changes.
