Every now and then we like to virtually visit an AWWA American Water Landmark. Today we're rising the Aqueduct Cascades in Los Angeles, California, which was designated an American Water Landmark in 1970. This one is pretty cool, because there's a lot more information available about it online. In fact, I found this pretty cool video from the 100 year anniversary that shows the whole system and history really well.
My favorite part is the middle part (around the 5 min-7min marks), where the engineering and building of the aqueduct is explained - it's really incredible what they were able to do in the early 1900s.
