Every year, the Midwest Water and Wastewater Expo grows and surpasses my expectations. It may not be the most busy show of the year, but each year it gets a little bit bigger. I do always enjoy the opportunity to have longer conversations with everyone who comes by the booth, which you don't always get with the more crowded shows. Plus, I know I'm having a good day when this: quickly turns into this: We had some additions at the booth that we were pretty excited about. First up was our MPE Pump Monitor Relay display. You may remember that we blogged back in August about the PMR2 joining the MPE line. It's an exact replacement for the MiniCAS relays many of you have, but at a much lower price point. The relays are very familiar sights to lots of people with Flygt pumps, so we were excited to share these. The next new thing we had was the cutaway of the Shin Maywa pump. Shin Maywa will be at WRWA in March and shipped it to us early, so we brought it along to this show. Oh man we love this thing! It makes it so easy to highlight the great aspects of this submersible pump line - double seals, double bearings, air filled motor, and the signature scroll impeller. Plus, it's so dang heavy it got Josh to the show to help me set up and tear down, unlike last year. :) Finally, this wasn't as much a product as a new display - our new literature rack. Our old literature was the z type that displayed about 8 pieces of literature. Not optimal at all. Since we've grown, we have a lot more partners that we really like to feature and have easy access to at shows. The new literature rack provides that and more! Now, if only I can avoid dumping all the literature out of the rack onto the floor while setting up, which may or may not have happened.
