What to say about WEFTEC? It was both Josh's and my first time there and we'd heard a lot about it, so we had big expectations. I can definitely say they were met. WEFTEC is huge - someone said it was 7 miles to walk through the entire exhibit hall - and we did it at least twice. It was incredible to see the vast array of companies and products that this industry has to offer. It was great to meet a lot of people who we regularly talk on the phone and put faces with the voices. What was most fun was checking out new and innovative products. We're really excited about some of the new products that we feel will really help out a lot of wastewater operators in Wisconsin, and look forward to introducing them to you over the next few months. For now, I'll leave you with this small tease of what's ahead.

It must be said that the Annual WWOA State Conference is one of the best shows we do all year. Check out us last year in LaCrosse, and the year before in Wisconsin Dells. And by the crowd we saw this last week in back Wisconsin Dells, a lot of people agree. The hall was packed full of vendors and operators, and honestly both days were gone before we knew it. True to form, we very happily gave away a ton of ducks while having great conversations. Definitely not a conference where we check the time every ten minutes. We had a couple new additions to the booth at this conference. The first was that we were able to demo the MPE SC2000 with SCADA software we offer. We've loved the MPE SC2000 for years, and we're excited to be showing off our SCADA abilities as well. If you're curious about either SCADA or the SC2000, we should set up a time for me to come out and let you work hands on with them. Another change to the booth was that our MPE controls and components board got an update. We now have the newest components, including the Pump Monitor Relay. Finally, one of the changes we're most excited that we started advertising our newest product, the Neptune 1.1 Microscreen. Freshly installed in Wonewoc, we're excited to be promoting this Wisconsin-made vertical microscreen. I'll be updating the website over the next few weeks to include the Neptune, so stay tuned. We like to give away a prize at the booth at this conference, and this year we gave away a Toro snow blower. Congratulations to Steve from Oconto on winning it! May you never have to use it this winter!
Although we couldn't attend the banquet, we were really pleased that John Nicksic of Mauston, who we love to work with, was awarded the North Central Region Operator of the Year Award! Congratulations! Additionally, the North Central Region Operators Team won the competitions (whoo-hoo!!), and the North Central Region was named the Region of the Year. Congratulations to all involved! |
